January, 30, 2026 - If you want to lead others, ...
… you must be able to lead yourself," writes the Harvard Business Manager.
In Admiral Mc Raven's motivational speech on leadership, the first point is to start each day with a completed task. Soldiers are therefore required to make their beds perfectly – which many consider unnecessary or excessive.
Mc Raven explains why this is so important: some days, everything just goes wrong. A made bed is at least a small sense of achievement – and a friendly welcome in the evening after a bad day. At the same time, it is an excellent exercise in self-discipline.
I am also motivated by a somewhat unconventional view: those who make their bed every morning in a disciplined manner also have their finances in order. I don't know where this approach comes from. But the risk of not having my finances under control because I didn't make my bed keeps me from being careless every morning
The 10 concise points from Admiral McRaven's speech and the 4 pillars of leadership are conveyed in a practical, sustainable, and implementable way in the seminar

December, 25, 2025 - Personal Connections
At its core, it is our connections with other people that give life its value. — Wilhelm von Humboldt (1767–1835)
My client was speechless. After more than 10 years without contact, a friend had reached out to her again.
After a few hesitant words, the two quickly found that familiar “good connection” once more — as if their personal connection had never broken.
Where have you let a connection “fall asleep” that is worth rekindling? What’s holding you back from reaching for the keyboard, the pen, or the phone right now?
Wishing you good connections, happy holidays, and an amazingly good 2026!
