My client was speechless. After more than 10 years without contact, a friend had reached out to her again.

November, 25, 2025 - Authenticity
Bill George writes in his book Authentic Leadership about authenticity:
“After years of studying leaders and their qualities, I believe that leadership begins and ends with authenticity. ... That is not what most of the literature on leadership says, nor is it what the experts in corporate America teach. Instead, they develop lists of leadership traits to emulate. They describe the styles of leaders and suggest adopting them. That is the opposite of authenticity."
A client had confidently given many professional presentations. One day, however, his boss put him under pressure: instead of delivering his own well-prepared speech, he was told to present a completely unfamiliar, pre-written talk. It was a disaster: The content didn’t resonate with the client, and he stumbled through the provided slides rather than truly presenting them.
